Welcome

Maura Brickman YM500/RYT300/E-RYT200
Hi everyone! My name is Maura, and I am an experienced yoga instructor living in Avon, Colorado. I teach in-person group classes locally at several of the resorts and hotels around the Vail Valley and Beaver Creek areas. I am also available for private group or one on one yoga sessions upon request. In addition to my in-person offerings, I run my own online yoga studio platform where members can join two live-stream classes per week, and access a growing library of recorded classes on demand. My classes include detailed instruction in yoga poses, anatomy, and thoughtful sequencing, with a focus on creating balance and strength throughout the body to support stress relief and overall physical and mental well being.
Yoga Styles
I teach a variety of yoga styles depending on your needs and goals, including Hatha Vinyasa,, Restorative, Yin, Prenatal Yoga, and self-myofascial release techniques. My approach is therapeutic in nature and grounded in anatomy and functional movement principles.
I have completed several advanced training certifications over the years that inform my knowledge and approach to yoga, including a 500-hour certification with Yoga Medicine® under Tiffany Cruickshank. This advanced training emphasized anatomy, joint function and dysfunction, and the science behind therapeutic yoga applications and self-myofascial release techniques. Through this training, I developed a deeper understanding of how targeted sequencing and specific yoga applications can support athlete recovery, injury management, women's health, strength development, tension balance, and nervous system regulation. Rather than encouraging students to push their bodies into predetermined shapes, my goal is to help individuals develop awareness and discover the techniques that best support their unique needs. This approach allows students to adapt their practice to complement their lifestyle, athletic demands, or recovery goals. In private sessions, I work collaboratively with clients to address specific goals or concerns, track progress over time, and thoughtfully adjust programming as needed to provide appropriate support.
